Changes to on-street parking restrictions in Stratford town centre are coming into force this month.

After a formal consultation on changes to the on-street waiting restrictions, new restrictions will be in place on various streets within Stratford town centre - specifically along the historic spine, High Street, Chapel Street and Church Street.

The main change to restrictions will mean that parking will be prohibited on the west side of High Street (Debenhams side) between the hours of 8am-6pm. Provision of disabled badge holder bays and loading bays, and the maximum stay in the pay and display areas on Bridge Street, High Street and Union Street will be increased to one hour. There will also be some changes to location of Taxi ranks.

Warwickshire County Council is in the process of preparing the final phase of the amendments which includes installing signs and lines for the new restrictions.

The work to install traffic signs and road marks begins on or around July 15 and is expected to take a week to complete. Drivers are advised to take note of the signs and lines when parking.
