Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Cabinet meeting scheduled for Monday 14 October will now take place on Monday 21 October at 10.30am.

The Cabinet was due to receive two reports on the District Council's Core Strategy; responses to the new Core Strategy proposals consultation on the new proposals for the Canal Quarter Regeneration Zone, New Business Parks and the creation of a new settlement at Gaydon/Lighthorne Heath and revisions to the Core Strategy Submission draft.

The volume and quality of the consultation feedback has been well received by the District Council.  Some of the issues raised are of such significance, there is a benefit to considering the responses to the consultations for another week.

Cllr Chris Saint, Leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council says: “I am heartened by the quality of the responses we have received. The District Council wants to make sure the right decision is made over housing and employment land for the good of the District.

“By changing this meeting and arranging for it to take place on the same day as Full Council we hope this will also help those people wishing to speak at the meetings."

Reports for The Cabinet meeting on Monday 21 October will be published on Friday 11 October.

The Cabinet meeting on Monday 21 October will take place at 10.30am before Full Council at 2pm.
