Children can now have fun and keep cool (when the weather improves!) as the paddling pool at the Stratford Recreation Ground reopens for the new summer season.

The Chairman of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Cllr Chris Mills officially reopened the paddling pool last week after contractors finished carrying out essential maintenance works to the pool structure, paving slabs and plant room equipment.

Cllr Lynda Organ Technical Services Portfolio says: “It is great fun, it is free, and it is in the beautiful surroundings of Stratford Recreation Ground.  The Paddling Pool is just one of the many facilities offered by the District Council to keep children and young people entertained throughout the summer season.  Let's hope the sun shines on us this summer."

The paddling pool is free and will be open to the public from 11am to 6pm each weekend now until 19th July.

During the school summer holidays in July and August the facility will be open daily and will close on the 7th September when the weather gets a little cooler and the children return to school for the new term.
