New electric scooters for Stratford Shopmobility

Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Shopmobility service has been able to buy some new scooters thanks to a grant from Stratford Town Trust.

The Friends of Shopmobility applied for a grant from the Town Trust to replace some of the four wheel scooters that needed repair or were just coming to the end of their life. 

Shopmobility was awarded £5,370 and has purchased 6 new scooters. 

Cllr Mike Brain, Technical Services Portfolio Holder says: “This is great news and will benefit people from the town of all ages who suffer mobility challenges in accessing not only the shops but town and community events."
