Need to occupy the children during the school holidays? Look no further, Stratford-on-Avon District Council are putting on a range of activities for children from toddlers to teenagers over five weeks of the school summer holidays. There are a range of activities to suit all abilities and ages with no two days ever the same.

Hi-5 activities include:

  • Hi-5 Day Camps priced at £12 per day or £50 for a week for 5 to 11 year olds, combining sports, arts and play all in one day. Day Camps are held at Primary & Secondary Schools or Community Halls across the whole of the Stratford District. 

  • Hi-5 Multi-Sport & Swim Camps, priced at £12 per day or £50 for a week for 8 to 15 year olds, comprising of sports specific, games sessions and a separate swim session each day. Camps will be held at Studley Leisure Centre & Southam College and Leisure Centre.

  • Hi-5 TUFFS (Turn Up For Free Sport) sessions, held at sports grounds, play areas and community venues across the district, offer FREE sport and play to children of any age or ability but under 5's must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Hi-5 Sk8, The mobile skate-park includes a Half-pipe, Driveways, Hips and Jump Boxes. The sessions are open to any age, are free of charge and are taking place in Lower Quinton, Southam, Alcester and Wellesbourne.

Cllr Mike Brain, Technical Services Portfolio says: “The District Council's Hi-5 booklet is packed full of exciting and interesting events and activities for young people of all ages and abilities.  Keeping children active is important for the health and wellbeing of their future, doubling this with fun and interesting workshops and sessions can only help to encourage them to be active.  The Hi-5 holiday activities have been running now for over 10 years and they have grown in popularity with the help of enthusiastic and well trained staff leading fun-packed activities throughout the summer holiday programme.  So there's no excuse to get bored!"

The Hi-5 booklet is available free of charge and has already been handed out in all primary schools in the District and is also available from the District Council office in Stratford-upon-Avon, libraries and leisure centres.  Alternatively all the information is available on the website at www.stratford.gov.uk.
