Three candidates contested the seat for the Southam ward for Stratford-on-Avon District Council on Thursday 19 June.

The result is:

Emily Bleloch (UKIP)                                         259 votes

Tony Bromwich (Conservative)                    493 votes ELECTED


Bransby Thomas (Labour)                                 398 votes

 

The electorate for the Southam ward is 5,126.

Turnout for this election was 22.55%. 

Turnout for the last contested District election at Southam on 22 May 2014 was 33.89%.

 

The current political make-up of the District Council's 53 seats is now:

  • Conservatives - 36
  • Liberal Democrats  - 12
  • Independents – 2
  • Stratford First Independents – 2 seats
  • Labour – 1 seat
