Nominations wanted for Stratford District Building Excellence Awards 2015

Stratford-on-Avon District Council's Building Control are looking for nominations for the Stratford District Building Excellence Awards 2015.

The District Council's Building Control are holding their awards ceremony in April next year.  The awards recognise projects of the highest standards, not only with regard to the product itself but also taking into account matters such as health and safety, compliance with relevant legislation and customer satisfaction.

The Building Excellence awards look to award the very best of these projects, those that have achieved construction standards beyond what would normally be expected and have been truly 'built with excellence'.

The awards cover different categories of building and types of work, such as domestic extensions, commercial/public buildings, works to a listed building, new housing through to multi million pound commercial developments.

Cllr Mike Brain, Technical Services Portfolio says: “Stratford-on-Avon District is home to some truly innovative approaches to construction and renovation projects, and these awards are the District Council's way of recognising and celebrating this.  The awards acknowledge the best achievements of our local construction industry from small scale projects right through to multi-million pound commercial developments and also serve as a great way to inspire others considering projects in the District. I would encourage people to step forward with their nominations and help highlight examples of best practice across the District."

Nominations can be made by architects, owners, builders where building work has been inspected, approved and completed by the District Council's Building Control team.  Deadline for nominations is Friday 5^th December.

The winners will be decided by a panel of judges.
