A public inquiry starts tomorrow, Tuesday 27 January, following an appeal by The Rosconn Group against the development of land North of Stockton Road, Long Itchington for 150 houses.

The appeal relates to proposals for the construction of 150 dwellings with associated car parking, submitted under planning application reference 13/03307/OUT

Stratford-on-Avon District Council has raised objection to the application on the grounds that the proposal will have an adverse visual impact on the rural setting of the village and the wider landscape, and is not a sustainable form of development, resulting in harm.

The inquiry, expected to last for 4 days, will be held at The Town Hall, Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-AvonCV37 6EF starting at 10am.  A Government Planning Inspector will preside over the inquiry.

Members of the public may attend the inquiry and express their view – at the discretion of the inspector.

Planning Inspectorate Reference: APP/J3720/A/14/2221692.
