Tell My Council new mobile application for Stratford District

Spot it – Report it – Sorted!  That's what you can do with the new mobile application from Stratford-on-Avon District Council.

Spotted a fly tip, a dead animal on the road, litter on public land or some graffiti while you are out and about?  The District Council now has a quick and easy way of reporting issues, making it even easier for residents and visitors alike to contact the District Council.

There's no need to download an app, you simply search for the 'Tell My Council' website – www.tellmycouncil.co.uk/stratford report the issue, location and add optional pictures to send and then the District Council can make sure the issue is sorted and addressed as quickly as possible.

You can report things such as:

• Full street bins
• Fly tipping
• Dead animal on the road
• Litter on public land
• Highway verges
• Graffiti

Cllr Mike Brain, Technical Services Portfolio says: “People don't realise how big our District is and the whole area it covers – from Earlswood and Tanworth-in-Arden in the north of the District to Shipston and Long Compton in south of the District, stretching as far as Priors Marston in the east and Bidford-on-Avon in the west. 

“We need people out and about in the District to help be our eyes and ears on the ground and we need to make it simple for people to make contact with us.  Most people have a mobile phone these days so being able to use this technology when you're on the move helps us all."

Tell My Council will be live from Wednesday 15 July.

The District Council is also creating QR codes stickers (QR codes are a machine-readable code consisting of an array of black and white squares, which can be ready by using the camera on a smart phone) for the play areas that the Council is responsible for in the District – making reporting issues in those areas even easier.  When the QR code is scanned it takes you directly to the website and prefills the location and category information.
