The sessions for families with children aged 4 to 12 years old will run every Monday from 25 July to 22 August from 11am to 12noon and cost £1 and will include a wide variety of activities such as dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, boxing and fun playground games too.
For more information or to book please contact Change Makers on 07773 047308 or email fitterfutures@rugby.gov.uk
The programme is run by Rugby Borough Council and funded by NHS Warwickshire, afterthe council secured a two-year contract, worth £320,000, to roll out Change Makers across Warwickshire.
Change Makers aims to be both fun and informative, helping families adopt a healthy lifestyle by improving diets and increasing exercise. The programme has run successfully in Rugby for four years, offering families the chance to try new, nutritional recipes and take part in different sports, such as indoor hockey and boxing.
Rugby Borough Council manage the Change Maker programme, with family lifestyle advisors based across Warwickshire to co-ordinate the countywide roll out in Rugby Borough, Stratford District, North Warwickshire Borough, Warwick District, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough.
Change Makers forms part of Public Health Warwickshire's Fitter Futures programme and was developed in line with the NHS Change4Life campaign.
