On Thursday 24 March, Stratford-on-Avon District Council held its first neighbourhood plan referendum.
Voters in Long Compton went to the polls to respond to the question:
“Do you want Stratford-on-Avon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Long Compton to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
The results were as follows:
The number of votes cast in favour of YES was 296 (92.2%)
The number of votes cast in favour of NO was 25 (7.8%)
The turnout was 51.6%.
